Heat wave!

Edmonton experienced an all time record for May when the temperature topped 31C on Wednesday 17/5. This is the only legislature in the country where they allow the public into the water feature and the locals made good use of it! Work held a pool party at the legislature building for lunch.

Ian has kept himself entertained by keeping a close eye on the bikini clad viewing in the park across the road. Didn't get around to cooking dinner this day - apparently was too busy!! The locals thought the temperature was much more exciting than we did. Jenny spent the lunch time pool party running around putting sunscreen on everyone noses while Ian had many compliments on his 'lovely' tan - not even a bought one! The heat wave only lasted 3 days though, by the weekend it was back to beanie and gloves - still getting used to these huge temperature fluctuations!
